 It was one fine Monday morning , yeah i remember it very well , It was indeed a Monday and i was recovering from the Monday blues is when i had this patient come by my OP . Her name let it be confidential , well she was around 30 years . She was accompanied by her husband from whose face i could read “ Why bother me” !. Coming back to  Mrs X ,  lets just call her so . She told me her symptoms which was very vague . The symptoms being bloating , breast tenderness , tiredness , physical pain , altered bowel habits , undue anger , well on saying that I could spot a smirk on the husband s face .To be honest if it where in my case I wouldn’t bother wasting my time on smirking  , Ahem ! for I know the very elixir of my life,  her famous filter coffee could  be sorry will be absent thereafter . Coming back to my patient Mrs X – her symptoms though i quoted vague , i could sense a lot of pain and frustration in that musing . It occurs right before the onset of her periods stays so for a couple of days .  Her husband who otherwise is supportive calls her grief a general tantrum in other words PMSing! . Yes you heard me right , I was taking history from a patient suffering from the grim of PMS . PMS or premenstrual syndrome today is used by the gents worldwide to mock their spouse or their love interest . To specifically quote and make a joke “ Is it that time of the month honey ?” ,Stop PMSing  lady  !!! and the trolls continue . Well dear men it is indeed a serious issue . It needs to be heard . PMS is indeed a problem much disregarded and probably used as an adjective to the lady tantrum …. yet another girl -ology synonym . But scientifically PMS is indeed a problem faced by the women community just before the onset of periods . It is often due to the varying hormonal imbalance and predominantly attributed to serotonin that reflects the mood swings . The point being its not a drama showcased . Its in reality a problem , a real world problem . The big question can we tackle it ??? . Yes certainly you can get a hold of it and for that your spouse support is mandatory . So here goes  “Dear men – stop disregarding it as just PMS instead offer support and care during this course” . Its not that your wife likes drama or wants to be a drama queen . Its just that her mood shuttles her for that  ,hence have patience and understand . Solve the bodily issues of pain by consulting your doctor and taking appropriate medicine . Calm your body , refresh your mind , rejuvenate , exercise and eat healthy . Understand that its just a phase and its normal to be abnormal … Instead of worrying about it feel free to talk about it and most importantly dear husbands have concern for your wives during this course . They need it…. very much  Stay calm , read a book , watch a movie , listen to some music , swiggy some food  , stay hydrated and exercise . Counselling and support from partners is the best medicine you can ask for …. Remember you are not alone  Coming back to Mrs X , I could see her eyes swelling with relief when she heard me talk it was normal . A Deep breath, some counselling and a few placebo was all i needed to make her feel the best .Yea she needed a closure . Meanwhile the husband in charge Mr X having understood how a slack he had   been came to a swift realisation . I could see them walking out of my OP most happy and relieved .  Well I was totally out of my Monday blues and as i drove my way back home I realised may be I should make it a point to be patient with my wife who becomes the hulk at that time of the month … Yea you heard me right she is more of a hulk than an Alfred then …  Well Well its the same every where …
